The game reset only when a save is corrupted (the case occures only on PC when you use a cheat engine and when we aren't able to read the save).
On Switch I never heard about this issue.
If you try a new game, playing 2 or 3 dungeons, does the game save well?
It seems like the only time the game saves (at least, post Franck) is when you open a new dungeon. So if you're doing things like clearing out heroic mode dungeons, make sure you complete a storyline dungeon at the end to force the save.
EDIT: This is actually not reliable either. While I think this is necessary (the game never seems to save after the completion of a heroic dungeon), it also doesn't always work. I just lost about 6 dungeons worth of progress to a game crash. It's not even viable to just try to complete the game without exiting the application because the game crashes so frequently.
After about 7 attempts, I have not gotten the game to successfully save after "Wait, are they spitting insects" even once. I think this may be a hard progression cap on Switch.
Unsurprisingly, after reloading my save, it is still stuck at Wait, Are they Spitting Insects?, but whatever, at least I finished it. It's unfortunate that the game has so many technical issues because otherwise it is fairly fun.
At what points is the game even supposed to save (or update the timestamp on the save file)? It seems to only update the timestamp with the first open in a calendar day but then after that 've played multiple levels (grinding old ones, moving forward and the timestamp of the local save file never changes)
I dont even think I'm as far as the level mentioned above. I'm in the goblin lands, I have 4 characters only (Pod and Melinda).
I keep hoping that some level will trigger a save to thr local file so this all doesnt get lost again (been playing to watch for what might save or not primarily, so if it's lost, I guess it's lost, but if not...?)
I don't recall moving the game's location at all, but would it matter if the game is running off of the device or an SD card in terms of saving?? Just grasping at straws.
Thanks in advance for anyone who even reads this!
I am now having that same issue....do the Dev's ever reply to these post?
Had I knew this was having such a trouble, I wouldn't have bought this game at all.
My advice, don't buy this. Not just for this reason, but there are some other issues too that make this, otherwise pretty fun game, bad.
