Map Blank / Light Blue. Help!

So, I bought the game recently, and every time I go to start up a new game, I'm greeted by the world map, only the land textures aren't there, and every piece of land is covered in a light blue wash. I've tried looking everywhere for help, and I haven't found any. I can't access the paradox tech support forums because my account isn't flagged for owning the game, even though I registered the game and every one of its expansions.

I've solved the problem, and it might be a problem with your drivers. Check to see if they're up to date. If they are, then it might be a cache problem. Try deleting: C:\Users\user\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Victoria II

and in the Steam folder, delete:

Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Victoria 2\map\cache

The deletion of the first folder set my game right, but only after I had deleted the second prior to solve a crashing issue on the loading screen.
