Slave problems and possible cheats?

I was wondering if there was anyway I could get a higher slave population. I can't seem to find any events which will raise the population and I am not to good at adding events. Does anyone have a solution?

The Slave Trade Act of 1794 was a law passed by the United States Congress that limited American involvement in the trade of human cargo.

The slave trade was pretty much out of business by the time the game starts. As most western civilizations had already outlawed it.

Thanks for the input, but that isn't what I am interested in. I am looking for cheats which will help me raise my slave population.

True, but it expains why there are no events for it. If you want to increase your slave population. Go to the Victoria II folder go into the history/pops/1836.1.1 for the 36 start date or the 61 date for the later start.

In that folder you simply choose the country you want to play. From there you can increase the size of your slave population per state. You don't even have to make a backup if your screw up just validate your files and it will replace it.

yeah i just tested it myself and it works.

Search for a file called defines.lua in the game directory. Open it with notepad and search for a line that says "SLAVE_GROWTH_DIVISOR = 10" This makes slave populations grow slower. Change the value of 10 to something smaller to increase their growth rate or make it equal to other POPS by changing it to 1.
