How to build tanks?

I got armor unlocked in the year 1901, I built some tanks in my build queue, they just dont produce though. (The date of completion just keeps going up). How do I build them?

You need to be able to buy 10 Barrels, 10 Artillery, 10 Canned & 5 Fuel in order to build one tank brigade. I assume there arent any barrel factories running yet

well I have like 300 factories or more right now so I wont check, but I probally dont have any barrels yet

You can just check by going to the Trade tab or Production to get an overview what you're producing in what quantity (besides how many resources you need and how many are avaible etc.)

Your best bet is probably to try and get a party with state capitalism or planned economy into power and just build all the needed infrastructure yourself. Capitalists are great for avoiding micromanagement, but they'll often lag behind on things like new military tech. I found it took a good decade or so after tanks unlocked before you could start buying them on the world market.
