What army compositions would you guys recommend?
Early Game Compositions: (Usually 30'000 - 45'000 men)
Fighting Army - 5 Infantry, 5 Cavalry and 5 Artillery
Seige Army - 3 Infantry, 3 Artillery and 1 Engineer

Mid Game Compositions: (Usually 60'000 men)
Fighting Army - 5 Infantry, 5 Artillery, 10 Cavalry
Seige Army - (Same as early game)

Late Game Compositions - (Usually 60'000 men, 120'000 when stacked)
Fighting Army - 5 Tanks, 5 Planes, 5 Infantry and 5 Artillery

So far these compositions have worked well and they always work, however enemy armies seem to still dish out more damage. I seem to only be winning by sheer numbers. If I put 60'000 men up against 60'000 enemy men (AI) in most cases I take more damage then the enemy.

So, what compositions would you guys reccomend?

Early Game Compositions: (Usually 30'000 - 45'000 men)
Army- 6 Infantry, 2 Cavalry, and 2 Arty

Mid Game usually just double early game comp.

Early - 6 Infantry, 5 Artillery, 1 Husar (36)

Mid - 10 Infantry, 8 Artillery, 1 Husar, 1 Engi

Late - 15 Infantry, 12 Artillery, 1 Airplane (well, I only play with a mod that nerfs airplanes since they're just stupid).

I wouldnt go for much cavalry. It sucks and is standing - I usually go (besides very early) for almost only standing artillery, mobilize, then attach the mobilized infantry stacks to the prepared arty ones and off they go.

Husars are quite nice in early - mid since they give recon values. They practically render the dig-in boni of the enemy useless. Besides that, more cavalry simply hinders you from more artillery.

Tanks seem like a nice unit in ones head, but looking at the stats they're not that useful I think. They are expensive, they hardly reach infantry stats and the only thing they're good for is their 2 maneuver - but thats only releveant if the enemy army cannot fill out his ranks which is unlikely, given that the ranks are very small lategame due to techs that reduce combadt width and the amount of units everybody has.

Artillery, Generals, Terrain and potential Forts decide the battle in my experience. (and of course luck ;))

I played one game as Germany and from roughly 1860 I was the number 1 power, then China westernized.

By 1950 China was number 1.

ummm its hard to tell for a nation with a small population its best to do more with arty and cav if like if your early america its best to do 4 inf 2 cav 2 arty however if you have a nation with a large population like russia or france its best to do more infantry as you have the advantage of numbers to bleed out smaller nations. if your playing as germany then throwout everything i just said germany is op af just like westernized china you can litterally build whatever and still be strong
