Some one help please.

The American-Mexican war is suppost to be one of the easiest things to do. Yet i can't win it. i help texas with its indpendence. then i make peace with mexico for status que. then i go build up my infastructure until the peace ends. 3 different games in a row mexico allies with colomibia. i ally with teh USCA. i start my war with mexico (and colomiba cause of the alliance). My first game i did this i got all territory yet mexico would not give me california. i litterally occupied all of mexico and still they wouldl not just give me california. this was becasue of warscore so i just started a new game. (i just want to get the manifest destiny in one war so i can move on to other things) in my second game i did the same thing. helped texas with indendence. then waited for the truce. mexico allied with colombia again. i declared war and was wining i got the manifest destiny then all of the sudden the UK joined. then mexico brought a big army out of no where. and then colombia came. (the USCA surrendred or made peace) so i ended that game. to start another. the same exact thing happend. colombia-mexican alliancek. war. UK joins. so again i restarted and the same thing happed a 3rd time in a row but the 3rd time i kept improving relations with the UK but that did not do a single thing. i don't exaclty remmeber but i think it happed on the same dates. (colombia allying with mexico and UK joining.

Everyone i know that plays this game says that this war is one of the easiest things to do but the same exact things keep happening over and over again. how can i fix this scripted thing i have auto saves. if the game is getting the script form that is that what keeps happening? also Uk was sphereing mexico so thats was probally somthing too.

i also noticed some scripted things happening in my other campaigns Papal States, 2 siciles, France, and Japan but no where near as bad as this thing with my US one.

again i have autosaves still in. is that causing the problem?

The first war where you couldn’t take California because of war score is weird and I’m guessing has something to do with battles or Columbia adding war goals on USCA. The UK thing is a tricky situation because if they get into friendly with Mexico they will always intervene to defend them. One way to prevent the UK from joining them would be to declare war on Mexico then let the Mexican army invade into America enough for them to add a war goal. Once they add the war goal UK cannot join the war. Something else you could try is to compete with them over their spheres. They may choose to spend their points fighting you off of Belgium or an Indian minor instead of sphering Mexico. Next time they won’t surrender just invade down into Columbia and keep taking land until they give up.

1. sorry i said i helped mexico with indepdence i meant texas. also the USCA did add a war goal against colombia in the first one and it was a stalmate between colombia and USCA but in the second one Colombia just steamed rolled the USCA. could you give me the name of a nation the UK really wants to sphere so i could try that? and if that doesen't work ill delete the autosaves and start a new game as a faction complty different. (im thinking of small african faction that rises to power) so that the game's AI forgets about that paticular USA campaign.
