What's the file extension for Victoria 2 save files?

Hey pals. couldn't locate the save files on my OS. Figured I'd search it up via the command line, but I gotta know what the file extension is to search it properly. could you check it up for me? It'd much apreciated!

Saves are in Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria2/save games

Thanks for the help! managed to locate it with the find command, it was under: /home/user/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/42960/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/Paradox Interactive/
So essentially in the same place but under a Steam file that mimicks the windows structure.

Hmmm....under Linux i'd have presumed it to be in
/home/user/.paradoxinteractive/Victoria II
as with CK2 for example, but....i don't have Linux and don't actually know.
