Victoria 2 not loading

When i launch Victoria 2 the intro plays and then the load screen dosent appear and the cursor is stuck and dosent allow me to change it unless i go to the task manage.

Ive tried all the avalable approaches but nothing seems to be working. Can someone please help figure out why victoria 2 isnt getting the loading screen for me?

You could search this forum with different catch phrases/words to find a potential answer.

I got a bit tired after posting basically the same answer(s) for the 10.000th time

Standard fix (assuming you got both expansions) is to...

Go into :
Documents/Paradox../Victoria 2
open settings.txt
verify that the resolution is not bigger than your desktops',
then edit this part accordingly :
fullScreen=no
borderless=yes

save try again

....
Alternatively to that
right click on v2game.exe
->Properties
-> Compatibility tab
activate the option to deactivate fullscreen optiomisation
save/okay

Try again

if neither of these worked try deleting your cache. if that still doesnt work then validate your game files.

i had this problem too. i just deleted the intro movie so it doesn’t play. issue resolved

Sure that can be a problem, but obviosuly not for the OP, as "...the intro plays and then..".
