Victoria 2 Low Frame Rates/Lagging
I having issues with playing Victoria 2
When i start the game it seems to work fine when i slowly forward to speed up (2x,3x,4x) it slowly (Frame rate) gets worse once i pressed it 3-5 times the FPS is around 10-20 and when on 4-5x is barely around 15-10FPS thus making the game unplayable.
I have Shadowplay so that it known the fps.

Here are my specs.
Intel I7 Core 6700 HQ 2.6 GHZ
8 GB Ram
64 Bit Windows 10 Home
GTX 960M 4GB

I understand that however it should not to be to a point that is unplayable.

You probably have another program running, that causes this issue in the first place.
Try to quit every unrequired program as far as possible.

Especilaly recording programs like FRAPS like to slow down game performance quite a bit.

Another possibility is a power saving feature clocking down the GPU or somesuch.

I try to close down as much as i can but it's still happens.

Shadowplay shouldn't affect it much shouldn't it?

How would i know if there's something to do with the GPU?

Test it.

Concerning downclocking, it might either be an Nvidia program or part of it or one of your laptop, then probably also part of system configuration or control panel, don't know.
Open potential programs, look at features and you might find a suspect.
