Can someone reccomend the best 3 mods out there?
The top 3 in your view: and why they are so good if it is not too much to ask. Thank you in advance.

I forgot to add. Only mods of the victorian era or close to it. I don't need nukes or spaceships or fantasy mods. Thanks.

I group HPM (Historical Project Mod) and HFM (Historical Flavour Mod) together as basically one Mod. They do a lot of the same things and are mostly 2 flavors of the same mod. HPM is more open ended like the base game and HFM is much more historically railroaded. Both are more or less free DLC that overhauls the game by adding more flavor events, decisions, features, and improving nearly every aspect of the game while keeping the game's original appeal intact. Once you go HPM you really can't go back to vanilla Vic II ever again.

The Cold War Era Mod is really good as well. It really brings the cold war to life better and in a way no other cold war mod on any other Paradox game can bring to the table. It's also the mod that shows the game's age the most as the mod's ambition pretty much stretches the game to the breaking point.

the 3rd and final one I recommend is Divergences of Darkness Mod. It's an alternate history mod that takes place in a world that diverged from our history ... at some point, I think it was something like nobody took Joan of Arc seriously or she was never born causing England to win the Hundred-Years War thus basically creating a domino affect across history creating a world that is similar but almost unrecognizable to ours. Though that doesn't explain why Japan is westernized at game start, why a united Scandinavia owns Scotland, or why Australia is a Chinese colony 200 years ahead of schedule; so it might have diverged before that. There's a lot of lore to this mod and you can read it if you have an unhealthy amount of freetime. It doesn't matter, the point is: it's a well made mod, it's based in HPM, and there's a massive host of new scenarios to go through. It's like playing Victoria II again for the first time except you aren't crying uncontrollably because you don't understand anything, you're just crying the normal controllable amount for an experienced Victoria II player.
