But the main advantage is it has direction - you are trying to climb the developed nation board. So you arent just trying to survive like the other games. I think that is the thing that makes it more fun than the rest.
I find they all feel repetitive after a 80+ hours. After that sort of time you've pretty much seen everything and its a matter of expanding just for the desire to keep the game interesting. I don't think any of Paradox's games have gripped me past 100 hrs. I like racing games more where there is always a challenge. Although I have found the Making History games are great fun, I like those more than Paradox games especially their first world war one.
