Best trait for Generals/Admirals
What are the best traits for generals and admirals in the game in your opinion?

All you really care about is his value in attack or defence, depending on whether you are attacking or defending in a battle. You can safely ignore the rest pretty much.

So the best traits seem to be "Cursed Luck" (+2/+2), "School of Defense" (+0/+3) and "School Of The Bayonet" (+2/+1)

Things like Cartographer (+40% Movement Speed) are nice, but not really that important. Org and Morale arent huge. With better Atk/Def stats, you'll annihilate the enemytroops, so somewhat less morale or organisation won't be of any importance.

But organization is what keeps the troops fighting longer, isn't it? Don't you think it's important?

It's a cool sidebonus and if you would want to build "the best überop general", then yeah.
But for actual normal playing purposes, you only need to check out the +atk/+def values, as they're more important than any -% org.

That makes sense, but it's surprising to me, I always tought organization and morale/speed were all very important. I think one great advantage of organization bonus is that it avoids stacks getting wiped easily.

The thing is that if you have good org but bad attack/defense, then you're just spending longer in a battle that you're losing casualty-wise. Ultimately wars are won by killing more of their guys then they kill yours. Organization doesn't boost your units in any way, it's only relevant if it reaches 0. A unit at 5 org does the exact same damage and takes the same casualties as one at 100 org. But one with +2 attack/defense does way more casualties and takes less casualties than one without it, and this effect compounds. The next day the higher attack/defense unit will have more guys left to fight against fewer enemies, so they'll take even less casualties and inflict more. Then the day after that that effect becomes even stronger. Org doesn't have this cascading effect.

I see your point and I have to agree although just as a funny joke, that part "Ultimately wars are won by killing more of their guys then they kill yours" made me think about Russia lol. In any case ultimately you're right there too as I think there would be no chance for the USSR in ww2 if they didn't get massive help from USA and UK in other fronts.
Anyway back on topic I think I'm going to reevaluate the traits I consider more important in Generals, I agree with you in general.
