France is too OP

I played vanilla victoria 2 for a long time now, and I've noticed that France is way too successful in almost every playthrough. They blob too hard, get too many colonies, and worst of all, they beat Prussia almost every time (If there is no outside help involved)! Beating the UK is almost easier than those damn frogs!
What can I do to to deal with this problem?

France is a powerful nation in this game. Try playing with mods that replicate Frances political problems and historical wars. Pop demand, HPM, etc
