Strongest late game army composition,
Whats the strongest one hundred men army? I am not talking about a cost efficient one, but the strongest one. How many tanks, planes and artillery pieces should I use.

Ratio of 5 Infantry / 4 Artillery / 1 Plane should be the strongest. Scale up to need.

The infantrys job is to meatshield.
The artillery is bringing in the real pain.
Plane is there for its recon values.

Tanks have slightly more offense later with techs than Infantry, but equally less Defense. Point of front row is however to survive and defend the OP artillery. The siege advantage of tanks is neat, but not really worth their supplies.

Additionally you can use Infantry from the Mobilized base, effectively doubling your army size.
Mobilized infantry also has the advantage of having virtually limitless reserves.

What if I wish to build an offensive army, cant I just solely use tanks instead of infantry?
Just completely disregard supply and resources, by the time I reach the 1900, I will be swimming in cash and factories.

Neither cash nor factories are limiting, but simply the resources. They soak up tons and there is only so much rubber and oil. Keep in mind you also need to supply all of them with those resources.

But yes, if you want to go Offensive only then I suppose going for Tanks is fine - however, while the single stack might perhaps be (slightly) stronger, it's still weaker looking at your entire army as you cannot make effective use of Mobilization which means your army size is only half as large.

Do I even need to use mobilizing in the late game against the ai? Not even the ai cant use mobilized troops properly.

No you don't. You also don't need an ideal army composition against the AI. But since you asked, I felt like pointing it out.

I didnt mean any disrespect, I was just trying to find a use for my tanks and planes. Neither rubber nor oil was much of a problem in my playthrough as I tried to colonize and capture all valuable resource regions. Planes seem to have an insane amount of defense and decent support, cant they be used to replace defensive stacks, while tanks replaces offensive stacks.

Yes, planes are very valuable as they have as you mentioned high defense but most importantly they have a great recon value. They operate from the second line just as artillery but afaik got nerfed in 3.04 a bit, so Artillery still reigns supreme by far in both attack and defense.

You can definetly as I pointed out use Tanks instead of Infantry. I'd still use Artillery over Planes, with just a few planes to grab the Recon value (which counts for the entire army).
I merely mentioned that overall using mobilized troops is better.

If you're looking for "just a few easy to command stacks", 10 Tanks / 8 Artillery / 2 Planes is probably a really solid stack that occupies extremly fast, making those grindy AI wars simple :)

Shouldnt I avoid mobilisation at any cost since it cripples the economy, meaning less farmers, labourer and craftsmen?

Nah, if you can pay for them, its fine.
