Proletariat dictatorship
Had a Justin Trudeau uprising. Now i am a proletariat dictatorship. I had a liberal goverment for the entire game and have pops that work best with it.
Should i try to revert back to a democracy or just go with the flow and roleplay communist canada? Are there any benefits from being a Proletariat dictatorship?

spagh and it's, so true. dictatorship by the people is always about the idealists-should-be-in-charge cause they think the right thoughts.

It is not generally dictatorship by the people anyways, but by a small party elite (often advised by you-know-who).

Access to food became easier under Socialism in the case of almost all Socialist nations in the 20th century.

Plus healthcare, housing, infrastructure, education, etc.

Capitalist Cuba was basically a giant prostitution/gambling den where your average person toiled in a field and lived in a shack.

Socialist Cuba doubled domestic living conditions in a few years and literally became known for exporting some of the best Doctors in the world.

Also, ironically, most examples of people starving in " Socialist nations " comes from the Capitalist periods of such nations.

For example, access to goods and food only became a massive issue in the Soviet Union during the 1980's when the country started transitioning to a Capitalist system.

Venezuela(Whose economy is 70% privately owned so a Capitalist nation by all means) gets its inflation issue from the laissez faire policies of the Capitalist governments prior to the 1990's. Chavez's Socialist policies and nationalization were the only thing that kept the country afloat as long as it has.

One of the most famous images of " Shortages in the Soviet Union " is a photo from Capitalist Lithuania after it left the Soviet Union.
