U.S.A Events

I just bought Vic2 and started a game as the U.S. Everything is fine but I cant go 5 days without one of the internal party events (e.g abolitionist pamphlets, copper democrats). This pauses my game continuously and It takes about 1 - 3 minutes to get through one month. Am i able to just turn off these events or just find a way to auto click them?

You don't have the expansions ? Then i don't recall a way.
With both expansions the events are reduced and you can play around with the event settings.

I do have both the expansions. where do I find the event settings?

If you want to change the message settings go into a game and open the menu list at the bottom right of the screen, from there press message settings and you will see a giant list of all forms of messages that are possible to recieve and the ways to recieve them, here you change how you get the messages and how they will be displayed if at all if you so choose.

@Warlord these are just events he is talking about the events with choices the ones that pause the game.
@Martian the only way i remember is for the civil war to start if that is achieved these events will stop if you do not want to wait 25 years for it press ' and type event 16000 this will trigger the civil war instantly and will stop these events.Hope this helps

This game teaches you why slavery is a bad thing by making you sick of dealing with problems of slavery :D

I am playing as USA too. I took my cores(manifest destiny). I managed to colonise in north and gave those lands to Canada(America gonna give you freedom from evil opressor British empire). I took Hawaii and Alaska for myself too. I took Cuba and released it(freedom from evil imperialist Spaniards). I also took puerto rico in that war and kept it. I sphered every country in the american continents except for ones that dont have many naval bases(Ecuador, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay). I declared war to these for with my sphered and took *cough *cough freed their oppressed people and added those people to my sphere countries. Its funny because at first i just wanted my spheres to take their cores but they added war goals and ate our enemies away D: . I also defeated CSA and now i am doing really good. Finally my force limit is increasing(i didnt use national focus on soldiers yet, i went for 1% buerocrat, 4% clergy and now im going for 12% craftsman in all statest that is above 100k pop). I also built railroads for my spheres(im such a nice guy huh?)
