Victoria 2 How to play Great Britain?
I have tried out playing as GB 2 times and both times I get bankrupt, cant really build up a modern navy or army. I try to switch parties but it doesnt work and I cant really build any factories. Do anyone have any tips on how I play GB?

PS. Im using the historical project mod and can I annex countries within my spheres in africa with it?

the best way to get money as Britain in HPM is to beat up china for lunch money. Research the second tech in the naval logistics tech line and justify punitive expeditions on Qing and get that bread. You honestly shouldn't have that many money problems as Britain.

You can annex uncivilized african countries in your sphere only by pop-up event that only occurs after around 1880.

Push up taxes and tarrifs to or near the maximum. There isnt any drawback as long as you subsidize your factories.
