How to make PDM (Pop demand mod ultimate) mod to work???

Hello to all, i decided to give a go on Vic2 after a long time not playing, always loved Paradox games and vic was one of the few i never reached the "end game"

Although i like Paradox games a lot, i usually never played them without being modded, because most mods turn the game much more enjoyable and complete.

For Vic2, i always played the PDM, now POD i believe?
so, i installed the game, and start a vanilla game just to check if everythng was ok, all good.
installed latest PDM version (2.9), from moddb, at least this is the most recent file in there.
checked mod at start and play.

Now, here is where things start to fail, first i got a runtime library error of some sort wen "processing flags"

in the comments of moddb someone posted this fix for it
"From the flag files of the mod, copy paste this to the flagfiles in your documents folder: "flagfiles.tga", "flagfiles.txt", "flagfiles_communist.tga", "flagfiles_communist.txt", "flagfiles_fascist.tga", "flagfiles_fascist.txt", "flagfiles_monarchy-tga", "flagfiles_monarchy.txt", "flagfiles_republic-tga", "flagfiles_republic.txt"."

It worked, but almost finishing loading it crashes wen creating rivers.
i also cleaned game cache, either from the game folder and the paradox folder in the documents, cant work.

If someone knows how to put this mod working or if you guys know of an extensive and complete mod like this one i always loved, please say, thank you for your time.

EDIT: i have now a clean vanilla installation, will wait for some answers before trying to put this to work again.

There is no official Pop Demand Mod version on moddb.
Just a submod by someone that's not even in PDMs official subforum on paradoxplaza.

People who call their (sub)mod Ultimate, especially if most is not made by themselves should
be ****and **** in my opinion (insert worst reactions in place for **** you can think of), but that's just me....edit: though who knows...maybe its the original author doing his own thing, but why wouldn't he tell...well.....whatever...

You can find Pod 4.01 for 3.04 on Nexus or several download links on paradoxplaza
in its subfoum here:

Link requires account and game registered by connecting to Steam and synching.

edit: apart form that it's for 3.03 and this last comment there
"Managed to get it to work.
deleted the Cache in the Maps folder and restarted the game then ran the mod.
It worked after that! "

One doesn't get results for hidden-if-not-registered subforums on the official forum.
You need to register to see them and for access.

ah yes, after i logged in with my account it worked.
just one last question.

It says to not use without 3.0.4 PATCH, my current game version is 3.03, wen checking for update it says there are none, do i need to right click in vic2 properties and choose the beta 3.04?

Don't look what the launcher says, check in main menu bottom left.
I bet you got 3.04, WNVU.

The thread i linked has an alternative download link somewhere on page two.
Besides that, all other download links are stickied in that subforum,
but only version 3.06 for patch 3.03 is still working.

Interesting, got that as well, despite running 3.04 already.
Especially irritating as the Beta in its last version was and is allegedly and as far as i know no different from the official 3.04. Probably an oversight.
