Victoria II

Anarcho-Liberalism
So, always when I try to play as an ancap it never goes well.
The investments are too slow, industries always falls, new industries do not survive for too long, budget most of the time keep going low (red), etc....
But when I play as a communist controlling the economy directly everything goes perfectly well.

How do I play as an ancap properly?

Maybe this goes to show something about economic policy in reality...

By your pic I can assume you generally pick Reactionary or Fascist.
Then I understand why you said that :/

Anarcho-liberalism in this game is actually more representative of the dictatorial liberal government of the First French Republic. I don't really think it is supposed to go well in any case although I have to say that I find Anlib governments mildly amusing to play as from time to time.

There are some A-L parties that have State Capitalism, which is entirely workable. Netherlands comes to mind. Laissez only works out if you're one of the top countries and already have a strong industrial base that can run well on its own even with brainless capitalists screwing up at every opportunity. Even then... the tax cap means state coffers will do badly. It's good for militancy, I suppose, but that's not usually a huge concern in my games.

I've always find the Dutch one extremely odd. The Anti-Revolutionary Party is actually an anti-liberal party and is by both standards of those times and modern times a party between conservative and reactionary.

Bit sad though, the Dutch Anlibs are extremely overpowered but because of their classification extremely difficult to get in power.

Actualy I made a Proletarian Dictatorship in Germany, Fascsim in this game is for loosers (which is inaccurate because Intrawar Japan) But ideally those are my two favorite parties. Then Communism/Conservative for second, socialism 3rd (anti-mil) liberal 4th and Anarchist last because irl I hate anarchists. how Ironic my views on utility in reality and in game coincide alot (swap socialism and conservative for my real life beliefs, the only one I really dislike is anarchism because there's no valid argument for it in my mind and the others can make decent points for themselves.)
