v2.0 Remake thread!
As the v2.0 Remake is now here, I've cleaned up some forum content related to the old version. Please feel free to post any questions, or bugs in here! And of course, I hope you like it!

It may not be perfect, but it's better!

For me, I can only save on the first slot. Also, I can't open the steam overlay while in-game.

An "auto" mode would be nice.

I did have some difficulty at one point saving into the second slot, but a second attempt worked there. I seem to recall trying three or four times in the fourth and fifth slots.

I've just discovered a fix for the save issue. I'll be releasing a further patch next week.

Honosape, though an auto mode is now supported by TyranoBuilder, unfortunately the latest version currently does not work with Steam. This will also be added in a future update, when things are more stable.

Steam overlay is also an issue I'm trying to overcome. Patience appreciated!

One last one in the Not Just BFFs path:

Ria: "I think people wopuld find It funny if they knew you were crying over..."

Typo, It capitalized inappropriately, and probably should be "if they knew what you were crying over..."

Before I start on this again, to try for another path, I wanted to mention one thing that I found troublesome... there is no indication whether you are reading speech or thoughts. Most VNs will change font for thoughts, as a visual indicator that what's happening is entirely in the POV character's head; a lot I've seen switch to italics for thoughts. One does sometimes wonder how Ami could possibly say that out loud... then you realize she didn't.

Yeah, that's an error with my font choice. The 'inner monologue' lines are in brackets, however the font I used doesn't display them. Another thing to add in a future update :)

Wait, is V2 a separate release, or is it a patch of some sort? If it is a seperate release then could I get a link to it by any chance?
Chazz the Elder Mar 5, 2016 @ 8:45pm
V2 was an automatic update from V1. If a character recognizes the swimming pool, you have V2.
Iyamtebist Mar 5, 2016 @ 8:53pm
I already installed and played through the game earlier today and don't remember anything about a swimming pool. I also just got it yesterday from the Indiegala bundle so I wouldn't know if it had anything to do with it.

Hi there,

2.0 has superceded the old release. Easiest way to tell, is if the game opens with 'made in Unity' you have version 1.0.

2.0 went live a couple of days after the Indiegala bundle.

While I cannot speak for NWG, I will mention that Unity, on Windows, by default uses the registry for game saves. Making a Unity game save to a file will probably require a code change. I don't know what the difficulty is for a TyranoBuilder game. (Version 1 of AWCA was Unity, version 2 is TyranoBuilder.) There is also a small problem with file system redirection on 64-bit Windows versions... and problems with dealing with current saves. It is, in my opinion, a good idea, but as a developer myself I know it's nowhere near as simple as it sounds.

A known bug in version 2 of A Wild Catgirl Appears: skip doesn't stop for text you haven't seen before. (It knows about text you have seen, which it shows in light blue, and text you haven't, which it shows in white, but for some reason doesn't stop the skip process when you hit white text.) Double-clicking in the text area will stop the skip, but only if there isn't an image transition happening -- characters changing expression, arriving or leaving, or the entire scene changing will block it.

How I can know what version I am playing? In my version I have only Start and Load button but not gallery I saw in few screens
Chazz the Elder Jul 9, 2016 @ 5:26pm
The dev has said that he forgot to put the gallery in at the 2.0 remake, but will replace it in the 2.1 patch. So you're running version 2.
