Need to read comic before?

Just bought the game.

Question is, do I have to read the comic to know what is going on? I'm a big fan of the show and have read the first several issues of the comics.

You should read it anyway, Im my opinion comics series are waaaaaaay more better that show. The show really messed up with Andrea and Governor making me drop watching it.

You don't need to read the comic but you do have to keep in mind that the Michonne in the comic is a bit of a Negative Nancy and doesn't have the charisma, optimism, personality, and the great chemistry with Rick and the others like the tv version.

However, despite the comic Michonne being less cool, this game so far is pretty wicked.

And yes, you can buy comics digitally but they run about the same price. However, if you have a public library, some public libraries do have the trades available. My local library has Hellboy and TWD trades, so its worth checking yours.

Comic version of michone is way better. The only persons who are as good in the serie as in the comice are Hershel and Jesus. The others weren't bad but weren't as good as the comic characters.
