This game and tv series

I see it's about some stuff from comix, but I don't read twd comixes, I only watch the series. Where is it in the timeline comparing to series? Will I spoil myself the tv series' plot by playing it? Should I play it at all, if I don't read comix?

Read the Comic as there millione time better then the tv show also the telltale games are in the comic lore not the tvshow

as for the tv show i may be wrong but its when she whent off on here self where they where at the prision but i dont watch the show anymore so can't be sure

You won't spoil anything in the TV series by playing it. Reading the comics doesn't have anything to do with it, but it 'fills in' a part of the comics where Michonne has gone sailing.

nope, this game takes place way after that.

the story of this game is probably another 1-3 seasons ahead of the tv show series, depending if they continue at their slow pace or jump time.
and i can't explain much more without going into spoiler territory that will sorta ruin your expectations for the upcoming episodes and such.

all you need to know is that this story is after all this Negan drama that's coming up in the show.
Michonne is having trouble accepting happiness without dwelling on her past. So she leaves the group with no goal or destination.
The comics jumps time and we don't get to see anything about her until she comes back.
This game is going to explain what happened on her trip.

But just because Michonne is still alive in the comics right now doesn't mean they won't kill her off in the show. Dont forget that Andrea is also still alive in the comics, and so is Sophia.

so will any of this spoil anything..
after only playing the first episode, not really.
there is almost no reference to any of the other characters.
When she talks to people about her past, she's super vague and doesn't use names.
so i doubt you'll ruin anything for yourself.
except i wouldn't be surprise if at the last episode of this series, they will show her coming back to the group and you'll end up seeing the current state their in, which is pretty much spoilers if you only watch the tv show.

and i also recommend u read the comics.

They don't sell comics in my country, dollar is expensive and I don't like reading comics in pdf and other clunky formats, so I'll stick with the tv show series.
