Falcon 4.0

Falcon 4.0

CD/Registry Variable Issue Solution (?)
This is a quick discussion thread for those of you who recently purchased Falcon 4.0 and were disappointed by the start up issue presented by the Steam version of the game. The solution I've found is more than just a solution but, much like a few others, I did what PC gamers do. Simply mod it.

http://www.bmsforum.org/forum/showthread.php?23313-Falcon-BMS-4-33

The above link is for a mod called Falcon BMS and improves on some features of Falcon 4.0. Registration for the website is required before going to this link and downloading the Falcon BMS 4.33 Torrent file. Installation should come with second nature to those who are experienced with installing mods through installers.

I hope this helps.

I registered at the BMS forums, downloaded the torrent and am installing now - I will let you know the results shortly.

EDIT: Success - that works!

Why is the world would they put this on steam without removing the DRM garbage, that's just plain stupid. Aside from that I'll probably get the mod also, either that or get my disk out, I need to get the manual anyways from my closet.

Note: The file size is 1.31Gb for those getting it.

Bms changes a ton of stuff in the sim. You will need the manuals on the bms forum...not sure the old ring bound manual will be useful.

The new manuals and more are included in the mod's installation folder under docs.
