BMS Training Missions

Anyone else done them or try them? They are written by someone w/ so much experience that it is tuff for those with little.

The FIrst thing I had a problem with was shutting the cockpit, that is addressed in the thread 'Close Cockpit'.

Next on engine start, on page 13 para #2 One pushes the JFS switch to START2 (r-click it) then wait till the engine hits 20%. Their is some way the throttle need to be configured, mine is not. So at 20% eng. revs I hit ALT-I and slowly work the throttle forward.

1st time I went AB & jumped the chocks.

After 1.5 hours a night I am up to page 18 testing the RWR and it failed! any way enuff of this for tonight. I plan to keep a journal of what was tuff & where I got lost to help the next glutton for punishment.

Youtube is your friend on this one. The switch that caught me out, with the cold start, was the one obscrured on the left hand panel. I think it was to do with air flow. You have to just "click and hope" unless you can find a way to move the 3d head around to look "beyond" some piece of equipment.

Others can tell you in more precise terms. I found the cold start to be okay though. I was talked through it, once, by a real person, and that really helped. I can at least get the sim plane started up.

Hey guys, thanks! I got it runniing & radios working & now the gauges on the rite side of the center display..........any way I try to do some every day & will get through the manual if it kills me.

I figured this is a good place to do that. I signeed up on a coupl of BMS Falcon sites & there is not much activity. SO hopefully this will be a place to get unstuck.

I regisitered there & can not see the posts or do anything other than log in.

Also SIMHQ.COM has a great Falcon 4 section, it was slowing down but it seems
that Falcon 4 sales here & GOG has led to a lot an influx of people lookin to learn.

He is right, I have learned to create my own missions, some for AI a/c and some I fly along with. there is so much going on during the Campaign.....well I am just restarting F4 after a weak start and over 10 years away, check out the link and watch the time fly!

I started a campaign & during the flights to & from targets I would be clicking buttons & just trying to learn by doing & boss around the flights I could. near a big target I would give me wingman command & watch & learn, it seems to be workin slowly but it is fun.

And the simhq Falcon 4 community is growing & getting active again. It seems a lot of people are coming back to F4 and need help cause they never went gonzo for it & dropped out or they just forgot & BMS 4.33 is so different than the original they need help.

RWR test will fail because your navigation thing isnt done aligning itself. Once your plane is fully powered on it should check as ok.
