Must-have DLC

Hello all, I bought this game a while back and am just now getting around to playing it (thus is the curse of Steam sales: You wind up buying more games than you can play within a reasonable timeframe!). Anyways, I saw there is newer DLC that I don't have. Are any of them must-haves? Also, how easy is it to pick up a fun multiplayer game? Thanks!

The items are not collectable, you can just get them as loot in challenge and pvp.

The other Side of the Coin
The Stars are left

I'm going through the same dilemma but for the price I think I'll simply buy the collection and be done with it >< ...but yeah, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sales, I'll have enough games to keep playing for the whole next year at this rate ¬¬
