OK i just found a solution

The problem
The problem is that when we run the game, the system starts running some scripts to install window libraries. When we do that, the system tries to open the game in fullscreen mode but it crashes and automatically stops the process.

My solution
To solve it first we have to understand that in my case the problem was not proton compatibility, the problem was the configuration of the game inside the menu. As we can't run the game, we can't change the video settings of the game, so we are in a problem where a fish eats its own tail.

Luckily steam has tools to configure the game from the launcher configurator.

First of all we have to configure the game with proton compatibility, version 6.3-8 to be specific.

Once proton compatibility is configured, we must go to the launcher options, a text box where you can type launcher options.

``-safe`` is a steam command that launches the game at the minimum existing video capabilities.

So we configure the launcher option with ``-safe`` .

Enjoy the game!

I can confirm this game works with
Proton 7.0-6 and 6.3-8. When starting the campaign, as well as continuing where you left off, the screen of the game goes black for nearly a minute, then loads the game. So be aware of that, no your game didn’t crash, just need to wait a minute or so to play.

This is when playing on the Steam Deck.

7.0.6 does not work, the game won't launch even with the -safe launch option. Only 6.3.8 works on my Steam Deck OLED

Thanks for this fix btw!! in ProtonDB nobody mentioned this and it's the only way to run the game. I posted this solution in ProtonDB adding some other control tweaks (it's still hard to play with a controller but with some tweaks it can improve).

In my case it didn't work. No version of the proton succeeded. “-safe” in the launch options also did not help. Any other ideas?
