Remember the rules and stay polite.
Some people have found luck turning off their internet before starting the game, but this is working less and less. if turning off your internet doesn't fix the problem then there isn't anything you can do except get a refund.
To get a refund on the game click on help, then Steam Support, then on Purchases and then click on the game you want a refund for (if it's not immediately visible then simply click on all purchases)
Keep in mind you can only get a refund if you haven't played it for more than 2 hours and it has been within 14 days of purchase.
