Just downloaded, installed, and game won't open

I just got this game per a friend's recommendation, installed it, no issues during the install... and game won't open. Tried a reboot as my computer did a couple of updates at the same time, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Please be aware that Feed and Grow: Fish has been abandoned by the developers and will no longer receive updates or support.

Some people have found luck turning off their internet before starting the game, but this is working less and less. if turning off your internet doesn't fix the problem then there isn't anything you can do except get a refund.

To get a refund on the game click on help, then Steam Support, then on Purchases and then click on the game you want a refund for (if it's not immediately visible then simply click on all purchases)
Keep in mind you can only get a refund if you haven't played it for more than 2 hours and it has been within 14 days of purchase.

Thanks for the ideas, just installed it and it wasn't starting. Turning off the wifi just before pressing 'play' in Steam let it load for me. I was able to turn wifi back on once it was playing.

And it works perfectly without having to turn off wifi by following the video and adding the firewall blocking rule. Thanks again!

what if you changed to game version and updated it to an update that worked before and then tried? Has anyone even thought of that lol
