xbox one game controller problem

I bought recently the game on steam but I can't play it with a xbox one controller and I don't understand why because with games like celeste or beam ng there is no problem so it's not a problem coming from the controller maybe is the game only compatible with xbox 360 controller but I doubt. I tried also to verify the integrity of the game files but it didn't change anything;(

Never mind I was referring at the game menu but in a game its actually working so that's because the game isn't completely compatible with game controller my bad sorry
I was only looking in the game menu and did not try to play ^^
