Laying Eggs

How do you lay eggs? I have them at the top left but can't figure out how to lay them.

You have to eat a certain amount of meat to lay them then press Q when it says to

Aw great. Come to find this answer, goes back in the game, just to find there is a bug that makes everything I eat do nothing... unless it was intended, but I was getting no XP and the hunger gauge was not going up... not giving up on this game yet, but was disappointing using the weaker fish and finally when I'm ready to lay for first time this happens. :/

Hey, so you see the heart thing next to your health bar? if its not full, when the stomach digests it will try and fill up the heart bar next to your health bar. If you want to make progress with your eggs, make sure the heart bar is full so the stomach will digest to progress with incubating eggs instead of filling the heart bar.
