What's the fastest fish in the game?
The update before the Halloween update nerfed the Tuna, which had been, as near as I could tell, the fastest fish in the game. once I had earned enough points with the Bibos, I could fairly easily level a tuna up to the point that it could take on the Megalodon and stand a chance. If a boss fish spotted me and I didn't feel confident of survival, I could just swim away. Now, though the Tuna is still kind of fast, it has nowhere near as much speed and acceleration as before. If the megalodon spots me and decides I'm on his menu, I'm guaranteed a tour of his digestion system.

I've been trying out the swordfish but haven't played it enough to tell if it's fast enough to escape the megalodon. Are there any fish speedy enough to run away from the biggest predators?

the swordfish, definetly. it regenerates speed faster than it burns it, and by holding the boost and letting go, and repeating the process, you can gain momentum enough to leave the megalodon in the dust. the problem with swordfish is just how bloody weak it is. but that sword can cause serious damage around level 20.

Cool! I'd been messing about with the swordfish and noting it's weakness (apart from the sword damage). I reckoned it might be fast, but I guess if you feed it enough it starts to bite harder, too. I'll try that one next time.

The above might be the best answer already, but I've only heard one so far. Would anyone else like to recommend their favorite fish (or technique) for eating like a water-logged pig without becoming something else's entree?

I have discovered that bibos's aggressive yet cowardly nature makes them an easy mark once you're big enough. Get close enough that one starts charging you and then start mauling it. The others will back off and let you finish. Lather, rinse, and repeat until you've had your fill (or they become too locally scarce to bother with. They have at least three spawn points that I know of, so when you exhaust one, you just move on to the next Bibos Buffet. :steammocking:
