Gameplay as a Small Fish is Not Enjoyable
To start off you have to start out as a reef fish, which provides little enjoyable gameplay it is just grinding for coral and starfish and gets boring quickly. In my opinion the Bibos should be a starting creature or the butterfly fish rewards should be amped up to minimize this mundane part of the game. As both the reef fish and the Bibos it was ridiciously hard to bite onto prey, now I know the reef fish should probably just be looking for scraps to eat, but the Bibos looks to be hunter of small fish, and to even get one bite on one, as they turn much too quickly and the bite hitbox is too small to even hit one at close range. It is very difficult to judge distance from the third person view, which is very far from the fish itself. In this way it is much too tedious to get meat to grow and raise a pack. I assume this fish is supposed to hang around the shallows, but the shallows where you spawn are mostly void of life, except for those daunting reef fish. I played as the mahi mahi, and for comparison it was more fun being able to actually hit a target without missing several times. I suggest some sort of targeting system for the smaller predators to make them more entertaining to play. Still make the bigger fish more fun as a reward but don't make the beginning off-putting to new players, even I was about to quit until I got to the adult stage of the mahi mahi.

I said it should progressively get more fun, but it shouldn't be so unfun in the beginning as to be offputting.

What i do in the start is to make a gang and hunt for coral and medium predators, and scavenge some larger ones. This i deathmatch, but in survival starting with the butterfly is really hard.To me they shouldmake the coral enviroment eat-able
