Not...Really? You cannot say its a spiritual successor because it varies in gameplay so much, and that the genre is really a niche anyway.
Its not like Feeding Frenzy...There's too many changes in gameplay.
The game is a 3d food chain simulator-esque game.

Doesn't matter how many people say something, doesn't make it true.
Feeding frenzy is an arcadey 2d game with very, very simple eating mechanics.
Feed and Grow Fish is 3d, has countless more interactions, and has both bites, swallows, and even spike attacks with blowfish and such.
At best it took inspiration
I'll argue at best its an IOS game...So it's crap.
No excuse, Homeworld is from the 90's and is more complex and interesting than Halo Wars 2.
