Problems with saving the game
So, the game looks fantastic and works quite flawlessly, but for some reason I can't save the game! Every time I try to, I get the "The game has been saved"-message, but the saves list stays empty. I don't even have the load game option in the main menu. The open folder -button also doen't seem to work. I'm glad I noticed this when I started the game so I didn't lose hours worth of play, but I feel bad for those who might. Is someone else having this problem, or am I the only one? I'm going to experiment a bit with the saving and see if it works with tweaked settings and whatnot, but in the meantime, could the developers look into the matter? Thanks!:steamhappy:

I just noticed this as well. I've tried saving the game multiple times; however, it looks like the progress is not being saved. As soon as I quit and relaunched The Quest, it prompted me to create a new game.

Exactly. I tried to run the game as an administrator but I still couldn't save. I also tried uninstalling the game, but that didn't work either.

Could it have something to do with operating system? My brother has windows 7 and his game works fine, yet my windows 8 computer has the problem.

Saving doesn't work for me either. And I have Windows 7 so it shouldn't be about that.

Maybe it has something to do with the game not being able to create a folder for your save files? That would explain the folder button not working. Maybe if we manually created the required folder for the saves, the problem could fix itself?

I'm having the same issue - Windows 7 as well. Hoping a fix will come soon.

Uhh, sorry guys!
Can you please check if you have a "Saved Games" folder in your user folder (C:\Users\<your windows user name here>)?

Apparently I dont. This must be the problem.

UPDATE: I fixed the problem by creating the folder, which I named "The Quest". I can save now!

I have that folder. But nothing relating to The Quest in it.
