Basically stopped playing due to poison
What's to be done about poison??? I can't seem to find any more cure poison potions and as soon as I'm poisoned it's a death sentence.

Poison seems incredibly dangerous. What can I do to survive and avoid getting poisoned?

My advice, make sure your character can use alchemy to make potions and being able to cast spells is also helpful. My ranger dual wields for melee, bows for range attacks, but also gathers alchemy reagents all the time to make potions and also casts healing spells. I haven't had a problem with poison yet, but if you are just going around and buying cure poison potions from merchants, I can see that might be a problem for you.

It looks like you don't have much time in the game, I'd be curious to know how you hold up later in the game. My character's a jack of all trades as well, I put a heavy emphasis on alchemy and I've picked every plant I've come across. I'm to the point now where I've purchased almost every cure poison potion and made all the potions possible, and as soon as I get poisoned I have to reload or die.

I bought the Steam version yesterday, however I use to play this and all of the old expansions on an iOS device for years. I was trying to help you out with your poison problem, but it seems you just want to wine. Ever think that the problem is not the game?

didn't mean to sound antagonistic man, just genuinely curious as to how to get around the poison problem.

A friend is doing a different approach than what I'm doing and she seems to be doing well with it. She went with a Rasvim mostly for the starting bonus resists to poison and disease. Didn't choose a class, but cherry picked her own primary skills into what she is calling a Shadow Knight build. Her primary skills are: undead magic, protection magic, alchemy, heavy armor, heavy weapon and block. She distributes attribute points into strength and intelligence first, then puts the remaining into endurance which helps raise resistances. I've not used this build, but like I said she seems like it. The bad part with this build is that you start with a -35% to magic, but raising intelligence a bit each level will reduce this.. so it's a trade off.

You can buy potion ingredients at the alchemist shops. There is also a "Cure Poison" spell. If even the cure poison potions and the cure poison spell is not enough, you might want to raise your resistance to poison in dangerous areas. There are both a "Resist Poison" spell and multiple potion types.

Also, sleeping in an inn will cure poison. If you want to go back to the inns fast, you can use the "Town Portal" or preferably the "Mark" and "Recall" spells.
