the game rly shines with the bigger levelspace and diverse enemie composition compared to "normal" game.
So short answer yes and I dont have to go far to say its a steal even.
Its very well done, runs flawless, ultra fast loading times no crash whatsoever.
Gameplay is less bullet dodgy than games like enter the gungeon , nuclear throne and more about beeing quick to position yourself and engage right. Not to say you cannot dodge bullets here, you can but its more rewarding to pick the right angle for things.
Also you can decide how you wanna play way more than the forma mentioned titles due to bigger geometry and destructive nature of walls. Be methodic about it or go run n gun its up to you. ( sudden reinforcements and or missteps to mix it up thou ;).
Beeing able to prebuy the weapon of your liking, your ability and one starting cybergear is a nice touch compared to other games aswell.
So yeah I recomment it wholeheartly for sure.
I played NT , ETG and nearly every twinstick shooter there is and this is a buy!
While I haven't made my own review public (when I can finally get my compilation gameplay video done and uploaded to YouTube, I'll link to it in my review and make it public), my laudatory lead is something like this...
I added a disclaimer towards the end that the "chaotic" part may not apply if you play as Assassin.
I'm a little flustered that quite a few pals on my Steam friends list have Neon Chrome on their wishlist but haven't jumped in. I'm a little hesitant on gifting though as I gifted Helldivers (when it was on sale a while back) to two pals and one never so much as installed it to this day :p, and the other put in maybe a couple hours or so and never played it again.
You can drag a gamer to water, but you can't make him drink. :D
I think that I'm going to buy this game now.
If people that played NT and EtG enjoyed it, I'll enjoy it too :)
Imo, these games are often better when played alone. There's nothing more frustrating than playing a roguelike in co-op where your friend gets in the way if everything - even if they are decent at the game.
Yeah, I refunded Enter The Gungeon for this. I'm not disappointed, definitely the better game of the two. Enter The Gungeon isn't a bad game, I just didn't find it interesting enough to keep in my library.
Im on Overseer 4.0 now, so I have beaten the game... 3... times? I've forgotten. All I know is once I start over the game feels as unforgiving as the first time I launched it.
One of the better games I have actually played. If only the Devs were funded well enough to do an online Co-op (lets hope this title gets them there)

-I don't do stealth/assassin. I'm sure a player who prefers to play that way would have a drastically different video compilation to share. :)
-Some of the initial vid is fuzzy because I hadn't adjusted the graphics options yet (filter et al).
-The video's about 10 minutes. The player says 16 mins 26 secs because I guess it can't show the "edited video length" for some reason.
