Farming Money

I need a lot of money to upgrade my weapon damage, currently it is at 51/100 and it's getting more expensive with every upgrade. What's the quickest way to make cash in this game?

Mostly I'd recommend not worrying about money (it'll come naturally),
but here are some ideas:

- play as the hacker (to open up the extra loot boxes)

- buy the Omnitech Floor Bonus enhancement (gain level number * $100
after each level, minimum $500)

- buy an explosive weapon or ability and Crashware Gib Money ($150 for
each gibbed body)

- higher Overlord levels give a loot multiplier

- this doesn't much apply to you since you're so far along, but: if
you're early in the game, you could try playing as a Cyber Psycho,
choosing instant credits whenever possible, and not opening the
unlock crates (the tall ones) (in order to keep your chances of
getting instant credits as high as possible)

Thanks mate, I finally got the rocket launcher yesterday so I will give the Gib Money a go tonight. Also, how do I complete "special" levels? The stats say I've done 5 but I have no idea when or how.

Also the energy compensator enhancement, how could I forget this one? There's a nice discussion about it in MMCS's Perk and Class Building Guide.

The special levels are the ones you get to with the purple elevators. These are the research labs (floor 1), offices (floor 2), etc. listed on the big screen in the starting room. To complete them you only have to visit them. They're sometimes very dangerous but usually a good way to get upgrades and enhancements.
