Sexy gameplay options. (Yes, i edited the thread)
We need ways to exploit attractiveness to mimic its prevalence in youtube.

BTW, i edited this thread from what was originally an asinine bait thread until i realized it was actually a serious idea.

In all seriousness, you cant have a youtube simulator without using personal attractiveness to gain views. Thats a major part of youtube.

Many girl Youtubers have charming personalities and don't put their boobs in the camera.

I literally never said all women ♥♥♥♥♥ their bodies. I said that its a very common thing. So common that you cant simulate youtube without including it. Also Dunkey has shown his face numerous times.

Should we add the sexy factor to the game?

I worded the thread too ironically, but yes, I dont see how you can have a youtube simulator and not give the option to at least use personal attractiveness to gain views.

Maybe not "sexualization" but definitely low cut clothes and such.
Why, Why corrupt a nice game like this. i've never even seen a YouTuber use "personal attractiveness" to gain views. And i'm subbed to a very good amount of people.

You may be thinking of Twitch but that's nto allowed anymore because that's just corrupt and disgusting.

And your not even a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ women why are you saying you are Clint? Seriously.

Sigh.

It's at least an interesting topic for debate. I too feel like something along the lines of Beauty/Sexappeal, or more general, Popularity should factor into how quickly you gain fans and also how quickly other people are willing to flirt / go on a date with you etc. There could be a backlash to using your charms too often or obvious - since audience is already split into categories and gender, using your sex appeal to charm one gender could lead to a loss of fans from the other etc.

I think "Popularity" would be the safest way to call it without being sexist and I don't see a need for such obvious sexism either (even my ten year old son knew about this game, so there's that too). It's not just about having boobs and wearing something that does not really cover them up, it can be as simple as putting up a cute act to charm those that are into it. Sometimes it's just about the youtuber having a sexy, deep voice or a very odd but charming personality, I'm pretty sure any of you can think of such youtubers from the top of your hat. Some of that is surely covered by the acting skill, but still, I feel like there should be something more to it.

I think the addition of a popularity point system similar to the light bulbs would be nice. You gain points by wearing stylish clothing on the right occasions, playing games that are trending and completing jobs for your friends and then you could spend them when shooting the video to influence your character's acting (e.g. are you acting cool, weird, cute, relaxed, flirty, over the top, or do you scream/giggle/yell a lot etc.). It would also be nice if one could choose one or two personality traits (e.g. shy, hot-blooded, friendly, outgoing etc) which would give you access to different options for the acting (a shy character can't act too flirty, but is really good at acting cool)

Something like that would make the video shooting more individual and allow for some more sims-like roleplaying (and that's one of the biggest appeals to me here, it's like Sims and Game Dev Tycoon had a child and now I get to marry it... *__*)

But still, it's quite interesting to think about it.. I mean, all kinds of media make use of sexism to sell their products. A huge majority of video games makes it pretty obvious that sex still sells and oh well, it just does, so it really would be weird to leave such a huge factor out of a game like this. But I'm too tired to add more to the discussion, so I'll just leave it at that. :)

The majority of video games are aimed at young adults and children, or are filled with violence. The only games still pushing sexist stuff are Asian games, and thats because western culture doesnt determine worldwide morality.

It is planned to add influence of your what you waer to videos, but before adding complexity we want to test basic gameplay.

No. It's not just Asian games that have good looking females in revealing clothes, preferably as the hero's love interest. Almost any Western game aimed at a 16+ or 18+ audience has sexy girls. Mass Effect, Hitman, The Witcher, GTA, just to name a few AAA Western releases... Nintendo is one of the few companies that releases tons of games aimed at children and families. And Princess Peach needs to be saved in her frilly pink dress... how is that not sexist? XD that violence is present in most Western games and completely tolerated as opposed to sex is a completely different discussion, but just because they are especially prude in the US doesn't mean they'll put normal looking people as main characters in their games, the guys are cool and macho, the girls sexy and usually need to be saved. That's not just common for Asian games (and if you want to start arguing about how hentai games usually degrade women, depicting them as slaves and victims of rap* - that's a whole genre of gaming dedicated to sex - how many Western sex games do you know that have been made in the past ten years? Whatever the number is, it's a irrelevant fraction of the number of porn games released in just Japan... there is no real comparison to be made. So let's just stick with nornal games that have no porn focus.) It's the same as those skinny, completely unreal looking H&M models, good looking people sell stuff better and this is sexist in both directions, not just something women alone suffer from. But anyway, imo porn (especially in games) should be less of a taboo, but I'm from Europe where I feel porn is pretty much accepted as something normal and having sex is completely natural too. I talk openly about this stuff with friends and family, so I grew up thinking it's nomal and I'm always amazed at how people from other cultures can feel so very different about it. *shrugs* To each their own. :)

Ah yes, the damsel in distress ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

What about how in Metal Gear Solid 5 you have to save men several times, and a woman tries to kill you?

Does that just not count?
