Talk to someone, once you're their friend (Green), get the bar all the way to the top, then, give them a gift, hug them, then flirt. If flirting works and they don't just reject you, go ahead and ask them for a relationship. If flirting doesn't work, get the bar to full and try the same process again. After that, you'll basically be a romantic interest, to develop into a relationship, you need to get that new bar up to full & ask to be in one. I personally kiss the person before I do, just because I feel like it ups my chances. After that, just get the next bar full again & then propose.
All interaction can be done by clicking on the NPC.
Unfortunately, there will be some NPCs that will not date you, so if you've tried a lot with no success, don't beat yourself up over it.
Sadly, when it comes to dating in this game, it is sadly, unrealistic...in this game, your character can be overweight, have scars everywhere on their body and if the character can be romanced, it will, while in real life....you would be screwed...sad fact with life i guess.
But overall, the romancing, unless you picked the romantic personality, the whole romance thing seems to be a waste, since once you romance them, you can no longer use them as a collaberator in videos.
