Dressing for Events
Some (but not all) events I sign up for in my calendar have a dress code listed. Others just say "experience" where the dress code is for other events. But aside from this there are two times when I have no idea what the dress code is. And even when I'm wearing the exact same clothes as others, they still seem to complain that I'm not dressed appropriately and then everyone I talk to hates me.

And yet I have no way of knowing what the dress code is. Those times (plus the one mentioned)

(1) The event lists "experience" in my cell phone and not a dress code.
(2) Someone comes over and invites me to an event.
(3) A promotion company invites me to an event.

Any advice? Or is this just a bug/feature?

You can find the dress code for any event when you're dressing up. Pay attention to the tooltip window!

The tool tip window does not come up for all events! I will look around some more maybe you mean a different window!

If there is another tool tip I don't know where it is. If I sign up for the event (and there is a dress code in the phone) I get an extra UI bit at the bottom with a chat bubble that says to remember to dress that way. If someone else invites me to an event or if there is no dress code in the phone (the cases I listed), there is no bit of UI and I have no way to know what the dress code is.

When you're getting ready for an event, when the camera moves to the closet view, there's a panel near to your character that hints at the appropriate dress code for the event.

I do not see a tip window at all. The only window I have, aside from the wardrobe window is current clothes window. That is it. I can take a screen shot if you don't believe me. But there is no assistance to know how to dress for an event.

Me nither, I didn't see any trace of that window, all I see is a panel telling how many points I have for each style, and besides, just what the f**k I kept being said not dressing properly in disco when I had 12 in casual? DOESN'T EVEN MAKE ANY SENSE

I figured I'd throw in my two cents as well. I've seen the tooltip you are referring to, and it appears to only show up for certain events and not for others. I assume this is a bug.

We'll look into it, as it seems to be an issue.
The only time I saw a tooltip was for my wedding. It said "Remember, this is a FORMAL event!" And that was the only time I saw anything. Nothing for when I am invited to movies, dancing or convention events.

the question is
why would a disco be casual

For example, when someone invies you to a movie or party it dosen't say the dress code. I tried looking at the phone but all it says in invitation to the movies/party. Please find out why.(Once Jagger invited me to a party but i had a wrong dress code.)

Yes I having the same issue, I have played 2 branches now and the biggest issue seems to be with Disco events.

For movies, I have dressed basically anyway I wanted without issue (I think since it is just two friends going out and not really an "Event" it doesn't really matter). Same goes for launch events and network invitations.

Parties on the calendar that you buy tickets for almost always give the dress code.

So again, the only REAL time i see it is when a friend invites me to a party (disco). Has anyone figured out a clothing combo that allows you to chat at these events without getting the "You're not dressed appropriately..." message? I have tried full formal, full casual with no luck. Maybe costumes?

If not it must just be a bug.

Edit: Also tried several different costumes at a disco, still has everyone telling me I am dressed wrong. Also, I am having the same issue with Single Release Events in the Music branch.
