Best way to bring a multi-layer animated sprite into Hexels?
I'm starting my first game and animated a sprite with a less feature-packed program and want to bring it over to Hexels with its layers and animations as easily as possible. Is there a way to do this?

P.S.: I own the non-steam version of Hexels, and the program I'm coming from is Piskel

I would suggest to take a look at the Animation dropdown menu. We have Animation Settings to set up for your timeline as well as Import Sprite Sheet & Import Pixel Animation. If using Sprite Sheets, just be sure to set the columns and rows to match to what the sprite sheet has or you will see an obvious offset error.

If you have a specific file type that you are using I can test that out for you. Just link it here or send me an email to support@marmoset.co or hexels@marmoset.co and I will look at that for you.

Thanks! -Will

I never noticed that menu. I've got it imported successfully using the spritesheet import. Thanks a ton for the response, and thanks even more for what has been an elegant, stable, and useful piece of software so far. Loving it.

Since you mentioned specific file types, I was trying to import a Piskel (.piskel) file. I'm not sure if you guys want to add support for that program because I think it's relatively small and may not be worth the development time. If you're interested though, here's a link to the file I was importing: https://mega.nz/#!6pN2EI6Y!DNPdq_PQxdbnguLoc8sqX25jcGcuJO-g9rWm67TA4oo

EDIT: Steam removed it. :/ Email coming your way.
