Two failed attempts to finish this game

Enjoyed the game but the first time I played it and almost two thirds of the way through I started to get a blank screen and the cursor would freeze when I tried to go into different rooms. I started the game again and this time almost at the end but never found the green rune stone that you put alongside the red rune stone. Had a blow torch and the spectral essence in the inventory but just couldn't use them. The map was blank of any further tasks/objectives and the hint didn't work. I checked a walk through to see what I'd missed but couldn't work it out. Also noticed on second version no pumpkins to collect. Don't want a refund, not interested enough to play it all over again but wanted to alert people to problems with this game
