Inventory disappeared

After exiting a hidden object scene, the inventory window disappeared. I can't play anymore, neither the map nor any other information appears.
When I create a new profile, it appears.
I'm pretty far into the game and I don't want to start over.

Whenever I check the integrity of files, I am informed that a corrupted file needs to be downloaded again.
Each time the scan is run, the corrupted file needs to be downloaded.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but the message continues to appear.
