Desert Snake and Man-Eating Plant

I have looked everywhere for these two. Desert Snake does not spawn in desert, is there a quest giver or something that triggers this? Man-Eating Plant, I have absolutely no idea.

CRASH. Trash. (fullscreen doesn't work, minimizing doesn't work)

Fullscreen doesn't work. Alt Enter, f5 f6 f9, all dont work, instantly crash the game. Minimizing also crashes the game. Trash. On Windows 10, 1070, i5 4690k

Didn't get very far as I only played this game for a random RPG Maker game stream. The custom art is nice but otherwise goes the usual RPG Maker route of an overlong start just to fight bees. Maybe it gets better later on but why would I trust a game that has such a lame intro?
