Xethane issue
I built two connected level 3 turbines next to 2 different sinkholes but the xethane % keeps ticking down way too fast. Is there an optimal way to sustain it?

a sinkhole should be able to sustain 4 Tier3 turbines around it without much issue. It'll tick down to like the 20-30% but then stabilize

As the xethane in the area goes down, the speed at which xethane is processed goes down as well until it equalizes with the generation rate of the crevice or crack.

Thanks! Maybe I just got nervous because it kept ticking down fast.

Sinkholes are really good as you can pretty much put tier3 turbines on all sides without much worry

That's not the case with crevasses as you can actually bleed xethane dry if you put turbines too densely around crevasses. Definitely watch out for the 'low xethane' warning (its a cloud with an sladh through it) where you might be extracting too much xethane.

For my setup I literally have 1 level 3 Turbine on each sinkhole and they are in separate locations. I haven't waited for them to go down as low as 50% so I put a "pause" on them and by that I mean turning one off until it comes back up to 100%

What is better , running your fuel production 50% of the time at 100% yield, or 100% of the time at 50% yield ?

Yes that's a bit oversimplified, but it's basically what it comes down to. The Xethan sources produce x amount per minute which spreads out all over the map, and the way to sustain production is to not take in too much in any one spot.

You can try building a big fan to blow xethane at it if you want
