inefficient waste collection and disposal

As the city grows I have to move my waste disposal far from the city center... which raises a new issue. Employees have to walk back to the city and sometimes dont even spread out to collect trash from multiple buildings they all seem to concentrate all theyre efforts to one building only and even with trucks they dont seem to go any faster. worse for buildings with no road access because now they have to walk to the waste burners.

Is there any way to make this a bit more efficient or do i just build my waste disposal closer to the city center again?

If you can spare the employees, you may build an air purifier directly next to the smokestash. At level 3 it will keep everything clean, you you may build it directly in the city.

what about a level 3 smokestack? can the purifier keep up?

They can. Just keep in mind that they also filter the Xenthan out, so watch where you place them. ^^

oh xenthane isnt a problem... im in the map where the xenthane just... its all xenthane. ive begun the building of things

Haven't run into this issue yet but wouldnt the solution be to build a waste storage facility (factory with storage) somewhat centrally wherever you think is best for your employees to deliver the waste. Then build roads that connect the smokestacks to your waste storage.

From there you just have to switch the slider in the smokestacks to truck only and let it go.

i am doing that right now. it still takes a while as some of them seem to still go on foot. so far my waste problem is under control.
