What gender is mangle?
In between the loading screens, different animatronics with captions show up. However, when Phantom Mangle shows up, there is two different captions: "Because she needed to be weirder" and "Because he needed to be weirder" Is this part of someting bigger, is Scott messing with us, or does mangle not have a gender?

It is genderless, end of discussion,

You're not Scott, so no. Scott says all of the characters are either male or female, so yes, they have a gender. Nothing is stoping you from headcanoning them as genderless, but that's not the reality of Scott's characters or game and just because you see them as genderless doesn't mean everyone else needs to.
Scott said Mangle was a yes. And can we all stop with these awful gender arguements. They are extremely unimportant. If some of you want genders attached to the robots then do so in your mind.

Anyone that thinks any of the animatronics is a snake is stupid. I know headcanons are a thing but changing the entire species when it's already been defined? No, I'm sorry, but I don't agree with that. Scott created these characters with set physical appearances, names, etc. for a REASON. These are HIS characters and we need to respect HIS designs/canon.

No. The "yes" joke is getting old. Scott was asked, by MANY people, whether Mangle was male or female. Obviously, they were asking which gender Mangle was. But instead, Scott answered it as if the question were "Does Mangle have a gender?" And his answer was yes. Yes, Mangle is either male or female. Not that Mangle is "yes" gendered.

Where did he say that? Because I don't remember him confirming or debunking any genders at all.

Right here[vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net]. That's an official email from Scott to the staff of the FNaF Wikia, proving that yes, the characters DO have a gender. As for confirming genders, there's this post from Scott explaining the mechanics of FNaF 1, where he confirms that Foxy and Freddy are both male, because he uses the male pronouns to refer to them. He has also referred to Bonnie as male outside of the game[vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net].

Of Course the stupid robots have genders, but no one really cares about that except a select few that make it seem way more important then it really is.

People want so bad for Mangle to be a female, which is both creepy and very sad.

Scott's yes was a way for him to avoid having to actaully answer that question because he does not really care about it at the end of the day. Heck he jokes about the spring bonnie gender thing on it's loading screen. Showing that he know people care way to much about the genders.

Wow, talk about a blast from the past, I wish Scott responded to my e-mails lol.

My question is why do people care? There's literally no reason to be fighting over the gender of a mass of parts. It's just really stupid in my opinion. Eventually Scott's just gonna come out and confirm one gender or the other because he's getting sick of it like all of us are. Or Frazer'll show up and just lock the thread. OR we can just end this 'discussion' before it gets any more heated, It's honestly ridiculous.

I know if Scott came out and confirmed Mangle to be a Male, there will be a handful of people here who would refuse to accept that answer.

What in the world, don't know what you did but it would quote that.

The only reason people are fighting, at all, is because Scott originally used male pronouns to refer to Mangle in FNaF 2 (and for the first day of FNaF World's release, the Phantom Mangle screen only had male pronouns), and they think that Scott somehow "doesn't know" his own character, or "made a mistake." The fandom is closed-minded, stereotypical, and shallow because they look at Mangle and see female only because "pink," "eyelashes," and "lipstick." And because people are, for some reason, SO adamant about Mangle being female, they have literally threatened to kill themselves and/or ragequit the fandom if Scott makes Mangle canonically male. Which, really, is ridiculous.

These people don't own Mangle, Scott does. And by threatening to kill themselves or leave the fandom over something as stupid as a gender, they're indirectly harassing Scott into doing what they want. Because even if it's THEIR stupidity, it still creates guilt because Scott created these games and characters. And no matter the reason, if someone takes their own life because of it... Scott won't be unaffected by that. No one would.

Mangle being male also gets in the way for people who ship him with Foxy, which is just downright creepy regardless because Mangle and Foxy are essentially the same character, just wearing a different costume. :\

I literally don't understand the thought process that 98% of the people in this fandom exhibit. The logic is so flawed and nonsensical it gives me a headache most times. But I also know that people in this fandom are young, so eventually they'll smarten up. Or at least, that's what I hope.

I use the example of the snake because I tought it was the most unsense , however I wanted to not kill the artistic ideas of other people , there is who want create an animation, fanfiction, fanart, fangame ecc... . if they want make something different from what is considered canon ( freddy , brown bear ; ecc..) , usually when watch this discussions lose they're volunty for fear of being judged .

and I can confirmed that Scott think that robots have genders , in the desolate hope , refer to a robot using "she" .

personaly I think Mangle is female , however if Scott one day say that is male , for me is the same (remains fan art , fan fiction and many other thing for who want it female ). however I prefer see the animatronic like a great big family , but if someone else prefer ship them for me there's no problem.
The fandom is VERY close minded ; for make an example five nights in anime , people insult who like this( that do nothing bad ) , with adjective like cancer ( and don't show respect for who soffer from real cancer ) and many other .

Saying they don't have genders is even more nonsense because the maker says they DO. Even robots in other media have genders. GLaDOS, Bender, C-3PO, etc. are robots and they all still have a gender.

You're more than welcome to head canon them as genderless if you want but thats all it is, a head canon, not a fact.
