i killed supergoon with unscrew 2????

so i was playing through the game again cuz i was bored and started having my teeth kicked in by supergoon. he was a bit over half health when it said supergoon died, but his model was still there even after death. i didnt use esc key or unscrew (either of them) because i thought they didnt work on bosses, but i was using prize ball 2 a lot. im not sure why supergoon died, but my only guess would be that prize ball 2 got unscrew 2, and that somehow killed the boss. am i missing something here?

Odds are prize ball 2 used an instakill and you hit it, or if you were using any reaper bytes, they can do it too.
