FONT SIZE

Engine limitations mean that my hands are quite tied regarding font size. I've made a crude hack that will let you scale up a lot of text. However, I cannot guarantee that upscaled text will still fit in boxes properly. It may run outside of boxes and generally be ugly. If you're okay with that, read on.

To tweak your game's text size, navigate to:
Steam\steamapps\common\The Next World\The_Next_World-all\game\textsize

Open the file "textsizes.rpy" with a code or text editor. Windows Notepad would do.

Tweak sizes in the file as desired. Save, exit, run the game.

"style.default.size" governs things like the regular text box in visual novel mode, and other text that has not had a specific size attached to it.

Most others are parts of the strategy and options screens, as well as the Yes/No prompt.

If you find upscaled sizes that seem to work okay, feel free to post your suggestions on this thread.


BE AWARE: Text sizes will likely be reset when updating to new Steam versions. Keep a backup with your most comfortable settings.
