Question regarding playing with friends?

Possibly silly question for those that own this game already, as I am unsure and cannot seem to find answers elsewhere.

To play this with friends, do both people need to own (and therefore each buy) their own copy of the game? Or is it possible to invite a freind who does NOT own thier own copy of the game to play with you? It is a fairly inexpensive game, but I am still trying to decide if this game is worth buying Early Access or if I'd rather wait for the full thing to be out, and that information would help me make my decision.

Both person have to buy the game, anyway, the game is definetly worth buying, except if it's buggy for you, however I hope it's not.

You can always refund the game if you don't like it. But if you don't like it, it's probably because you played against me and couldn't kill yourself as baby.
